“Kinderstadt goes Europe”, 2nd Partner Meeting, 14-17 January, OradeaOn 14-17 January, YES Forum members partnering in the project “Kinderstadt goes Europe!” gathered in Oradea (RO) to discuss their progress and ideas for the future organization of their very own "Children’s Cities".
By 2020, “Kinderstadt Goes Europe”, led by YES Forum’s member St. Johannis GmbH will train youth organizations from Italy, Sweden, the Netherlands, Germany and Romania in order to prepare them to create, design and later on implement their own “Kinderstadt”, or “Children’s Towns”. It is a pedagogical concept through which children and young people roleplay a “mini-city”, and can therefore understand the complex relationships sustaining society.
In Oradea, project partners discussed how to transfer this concept to their specific contexts. The Ruhama Foundation will soon be the first to kick-off their own Kinderstadt. We are excited to hear how it goes! For more information, please click here. |

DIVE 3rd Training, 22-27 January, MalmöOn 22-27 January in Malmö, Sweden, the DIVE project (Diversity in Pan-European Networks) held its third Training on Inclusion and Diversity in Malmö, Sweden.
YES Forum and its member Internationaler Bund supported participants from JEF Europe (Young European Federalists), ESN International (Erasmus Student Network) and AEGEE Europe with its own expertise. Young volunteers from these major European youth networks applied what they learned in previous trainings to design concrete plans aiming at opening their organisations to a broader audience.
Stay tuned! Their work also contributed to fine-tune several tools which will soon broaden these efforts to their whole networks. For more information, have a look here. |
