As part of a broader project, “Level Up!”, the YES Forum gathered a group of 36 young people with fewer opportunities from Germany, France, Netherlands, Italy, and UK.
During the whole week, they learned and exchanged about active citizenship. Through inclusive and interactive activities, as well as a visit of Strasbourg, the European Parliament, and a meeting with its Vice-president Rainer Wieland, the participants gained the skills necessary for active political participation.
The week culminated with their participation to the European Youth Event 2016, where they proudly offered their own activity focused on stereotypes and discrimination to other young people from all over Europe.
After this focus on EU-level political participation, the project will be concluded with a new youth exchange on participation at the local and national level in Bernburg, Germany, on 22-26 August.
